Helen was the wife of Andrew A. Taber. They lived at 1838 Drift Road, The Red Farm, and 1950 Drift Road Westport, Point.
Helen was born in Dartmouth and lived at the Point for 53 years. She graduated from New Bedford High school and Bridgewater Normal School.
She taught school in Dartmouth and several one-room schools in Westport.
Helen was formerly Westport Point correspondent for The Standard Times and the Fall River Herald News. She also was the Postmistress at the Point for a while.
Her husband, son, and sons-in-law built and repaired many homes on the Point, Dartmouth and Tiverton.
Helen was a devoted member of the Westport Point United Methodist Church.
