For 70 or so years, Lees Market has carved out a unique place within the town of Westport and surrounding communities. Part grocery store, liquor store, employer to thousands, and unofficial “town center” (among other things), this fixture in our community has a story to tell … a story that is worth telling. For the story of Lees Market is really a reflection of our town and its changes over more than seven decades.
Join us to hear Al Lees, former owner of the market and current WHS president, speak about the evolution of an 800 square foot general merchandise store to an over 50,000 square foot building that contains not only food and adult beverages but more importantly memories for so many of us for so many years.
