3rd. To hear the annual reports of the Selectmen General School Committee and Landing Commissioners and act thereon.
4th. To raise such sums of money as may be necessary to defray town charges for the year ensuing and make appropriations of the same .
5th. To determine the manner of repairing the highways town ways and bridges the year ensuing.
6th. To bring in their votes for County Treasurer.
7th. To see what measures the town will take to cause suitable sluiceways or openings in the mill dams in said town to admit of easy ingress and ingress. of alewives into the ponds above.
8th. to see if the town will alter the line between school districts No. 18 and No. 19 so as to set the Houses of Charles N. Craw, Anthony Gifford, and William G. Allen now lives in district No. 19.
9th. to see what instructions the town will give the Landing Commissioners if any.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at three or more public places in said town of Westport fourteen days at the least before the time for holding said meeting.

Voted. To raise the sum of $2000 for support of schools and also to appropriate the interests on the surplus revenues fund for the schools, all of said money to be divided equally among the Districts.
Voted. That the Selectmen be a committee to petition the Legislature concerning Alewives as named in the seventh article of the warrant.
The whole number of votes collected sorted and counted for County Treasurer was one hundred and fifty three 153.
For Samuel R. Townsend of Taunton one hundred and two votes 102.

April 17, 1852. The inhabitants of the town of Westport met agreeable to adjournment from the fifth instant. The moderator being absent Nathan Wood was chosen Moderator pro tem pore and the following votes were passed viz. :
voted. To indefinitely postpone the eight article in the warrant.
Voted. That the several sums of money raised on the fifth instant. Be raised by a tax and that the collector allow the same discount as was allowed last year for prompt payment.
Voted. To excuse Frederick Gifford from being surveyor of highways and chose John T. Wing in his stead and to excuse Weston M. Cornell and chose Moses Macomber in his stead and to excuse Allen P. Brownell from being pound keeper and chose Benjamin T. Shaw in his stead and voted to excuse Ezra P. Brownell from being surveyor of highways and Nathan Wood was chosen and sworn in his stead.
Voted. To accept the report of the General School Committee.

Bristol S. S.. To either of the Constables of the town of Westport in said county. Greeting.
In the name of the the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby required to notify the inhabitants of said town of Westport qualified to vote in town affairs to meet at the town house in said town on Saturday the sevententh of April instant at 2 o’clock in the afternoon then and there to act on the following articles.
1st. To choose a Moderator to preside in said meeting.
2nd. To see if the town will authorize their Treasurer to renew the notes now standing against the town and give notes for orders now due.
3rd. to see if the town will accept of a list of Jurors as made out by the Selectmen.
4th. to see if the town will cancel a bond given by Giles R. Gifford for support of Judith Wood take the money and agree to pay the interest towards her support.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at three or more public places in said town seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.
Hereof fail not and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon to the town Clerk at the time and place of meeting as aforesaid.

Bristol S. S.. To either of the constables of the town of Westport in the county of Bristol. Greeting.
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the town of Westport qualified to vote in elections to meet at the town house in Westport on tuesday the second day of November next it being the first tuesday of said month at two of the clock in the afternoon to bring in their votes to the Selectmen for thirteen electors for President and Vice President of the United States.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at three or more public places in said town seven days at least before the time for holding said meeting.
Hereof fail not and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon to ourselves at the time and place of meeting as aforesaid.

day of March next. And on the following question: is it expedient that delegates should be chosen to meet in convention for the purpose of revising or altering the Constitution of Government of this Commonwealth all in one envelope.
Also at two o’clock in the afternoon of the same day to meet at the same place to act on the following articles :-
1st. To choose a Moderator to preside in said meeting.
2nd. To see if the town will accept of a highway as laidout by the Selectmen over yhr land of Ephraim Kirby and Joshua Potter.
3rd. To see if the town will alter the line between school districts number 4 in 19 so as to include John Sampson’s land in district number 4.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at three or more public places in said town ten days at least before the time for holding said meeting.
Hereof fail not and made due return of this warrant with your doings thereon to ourselves at the time and place of meetings as aforesaid.

1st. To choose a moderator to preside in said meeting.
2nd. To choose an agent to meet with the County commissioners on the tent day of February next to oppose the laying out a highway as petitioned for by Nathaniel Kirby and others and to act on all other matters relating to said highway that may be thought expedient.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at three or more public places in said town seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.
