Bristol S. S.. To Jireh Brownell Constable of Town of Westport. Greetings.
In the name of said Commonwealth you are hereby required to notify and warn the Inhabitants of said Town of Westport duly qualified to vote for Representatives in the General Court of said Commonwealth.-to meet at the Town house in said Town on Monday the tenth day of February next at eleven o’clock in the forenoon-to give in their votes for the Selectmen for one Representative that is and inhabitant of congressional district number nine, to represent them in the Congress of the United States of America for the term of two years from the fourth day of March 1845.
Hereof fail not and make return of this warrant with your doings thereon at or before said time of meeting.
Given under our hands and seals at Westport the tenty fifth day of January A. D. 1845.

At a legal meeting of the qualified voters of the Town of Westport held at the Town house in said Town on Monday the tenth day of February A.D. 1845-for the purpose expressed in the foregoing warrant. Votes for following named persons were given in, sorted, counted, record and declaration thereof made as by the Constitution is directed.

Bristol S. S.. To Jireh Brownell Constable of the Town of Westport. Greeting.
In the name of said Commonwealth you are hereby required to notify and warn the Inhabitants of said Town qualified by law to vote for County and Town Officers, and in other Town affairs-. To meet at the Town house in said Town on Monday the seventh day of April next at ten o’clock in the forenoon to act on the following articles viz.
1st. To choose a Moderator for said meeting.
2nd. To choose all necessary Town Officers for the year ensuing.
3rd. To bring in their votes for a County Treasurer .
4th. To determine the sum to be expended in repairs of highways and the manner it shall be appropriated.
5th. To choose a committee to receive and examine all accounts brought against the Town and to settle with the Treasurer.
6th. To determine the sum to be raised for the support of schools and the mode of appropriation.
7th. To raise a sum of money for the support of the Poor and other incidental expenses.
8th. To appoint their Treasurer -Collector of taxes-determine the rate of abatement for prompt pay-at what time the collection shall be completed-and the amount to be allowed for his services.
9th. To see if the town will accept the list of Jurors presented by the Selectmen.
10th. To choose such other committees or Agents as circumstances may render expedient.
Hereof fail not and make return of this warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk at or before said time of

$1000. Jireh Brownell chosen and is to have the same for his services as was allowed him last year-1844-sworn.
Isaac Francis chosen constable sworn.
Voted that the sum of one thousand dollars be assessed on the polls and estates of the Inhabitants and nonresident proprietors of the town of Westport for repairing the highways the year ensuing-and the assessors are directed to assess said sum as soon as may be and deliver lists thereof with the persons names and the sums they are assessed to the surveyor with his limits, according to law, that one dollar the allowed for nine hours labor for a man or yoke of oxen-33 cents for a plow, and 25 cents for a cart-and in that proportion for more or less time and that the Surveyor expend the said sum according to law.
$1400. Voted. That the sum of fourteen hundred dollars be raised by way of tax in addition to what may be received from the state school funds, for the support of public schools, the year ensuing-. That six dollars per month be paid to the teachers of summer schools, for the time the school is taught not exceeding five months-. That the ballance after paying female teachers eight dollars per month for winter schools, be divided among the male teachers in proportion to the time taught not exceeding four months, previous to the fifteenth day of March next, on which day the amount shall be apportioned to such districts as have by their Prudential committees or otherwise, made the proper returns to the Selectmen.
$1200. Voted. That the sum of $1200 be raised by tax on the polls and estates of the Inhabitants and nonresident proprietors of the Town of Westport, for the support of Paupers and other incidental expenses, to be assessed, collected and paid-in to the Town Treasury, on or before the first day of March next, and the assessors are directed to assess

By Law, and deliver lists thereof, to the collector as soon as may be.

The General School committees report was read in open Town Meeting and accepted by the town.

Bristol S. S.. To Isaac Francis one of the constable of the Town of Westport in the County of Bristol–greeting.
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are required to notify and warn the male Inhabitants of the Town of Westport qualified to vote for a Representative to the General Court of this Commonwealth to meet and assemble at the town house in said Town on Monday the the first day of September next at 11 o’clock in the forenoon to act on the following articles-viz..
1st. To bring in their votes to the Selectmen for one Representative, that is an Inhabitant of congressional district No. 9, to represent them in the Congress of the United States of America, for the term of two years from the fourth day of March eighteen hundred and forty five.
2nd. To choose a Moderator.
Third. To ascertain if the town will accept of the highway leading from Pardon Gifford’s Mills, Norhterly to Joseph-

Chace’s land near hemlock gutter (so-called) as surveyed and altered by the Selectmen.
4th. To ascertain what action if any Town will take respecting the insane belonging to said town.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at four or more Public places, in said town, 14 days at least before the time of holding said meeting.
Hereof fail not and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon, to us at the time and place of meeting aforesaid.

At a legal Town meeting of Qualified voters of the town of Westport, held at the Town House in said Town, on Monday the first day of September A.D. 1845-for the purposes expressed in the foregoing warrant. You are hereby required in the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to notify and warn the Male Inhabitants of said Town qualified by law to vote in state Elections to meet at the Town House in said Town on Monday the tenth day of November next, being the second Monday of said month, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon for the following purposes viz..
1st. To bring in their votes to the Selectmen for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Senators all on one ballot.
2nd. To bring in their votes for one Representative that is an Inhabitant of congressional district No. 9 nine, in this Commonwealth to represent them in the Congress of the United States of America. For the term of two years from the fourth day of March 1845.
Third,. To see in the town will vote to send a representative to represent them at the next general court of this Commonwealth.
4th. To bring in their votes for one Representative to represent them in the General Court of this Commonwealth, which convenes in Boston on the first Wednesday in January next.
