Macomber Primary School Hand Sewing Project Summer Drop-In Days

Members of the community are welcome to stop by Handy House on the dates above to see the progress being made on the hand sewing quilt project with the rising 2nd graders from Macomber Primary School. The students spent their spring term as 1st graders sewing up ¼ square triangles into Hourglass Quilt Blocks with the assistance of many dedicated community volunteers. Meet the students and their families, observe the techniques necessary for a well-made quilt, and try your hand at completing a square! The drop-in days will happen rain or shine.
The finished quilt will be raffled off to benefit the Westport Education Foundation. Funding support has been provided by the Westport Cultural Council, a division of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
